Orange Lutheran community gathers under the big tent to celebrate the strengths of our school
April 18, 2008
Orange Lutheran Executive Director Ken Ellwein announced at the Campaign Kickoff celebration on April 18 that the school had already received over $10 million in early pledges, already the most ever raised by a Lutheran High capital campaign.
Ellwein, who is also serving as Campaign Chairman, delivered the news to an estimated crowd of 500, which assembled under the big tent on the Orange Lutheran campus to hear about the plans for the school's future.
Principal and incoming Executive Director Gregg Pinick unveiled some of those plans, which include a new wing to be built on the west end of the gymnasium with new classrooms, a band room, and an expanded weight room, as well as renovations to the campus' existing structures. The plans also call for upgrades to the school's technology resources, including wireless Internet access, and an endowment to attract and retain Orange Lutheran's valued teachers.
